PRINTERS

For printing miniatures, we always recommend RESIN 3D printers as they provide exceptional detail and a smooth surface finish. Our models have been tested on the Anycubic Photon Mono M5s and Phrozen Sonic Mighty 8K printers. We do not use FDM (filament) printing technology or other materials and therefore cannot provide support for those types of printers.

SLICER SOFTWARE

We recommend using Chitubox for its user-friendly interface, automatic support generation, advanced scaling options, and professional tools for preparing models for printing.

SCALING

Most of our models scale exceptionally well both up and down without noticeable loss of quality. All models are created at the scale specified in their listing; however, users have successfully printed them in scales ranging from 1:72 up to 1:6.

SUPPORT REMOVAL AND CLEANUP

To make support removal easier, we recommend soaking the model in warm water for 5–10 minutes. After this treatment, supports can usually be removed much more easily and leave fewer marks on the model's surface.

After removing the supports, the model should be thoroughly cleaned. Excellent results can be achieved by soaking the print for 30–60 minutes in Mean Green or a similar cleaning solution, followed by an additional 15–30 minute rinse in Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).

REQUESTS & SUGGESTIONS

While we do not accept custom orders, we are always happy to hear your ideas for new models you'd like to see in our store. Simply send us a description or a reference image, and we will consider adding the project to our production schedule.

We truly enjoy helping bring creative ideas to life and expanding our catalog based on community feedback and suggestions.

Description

Ivan Mazepa — Hetman of the Cossack State (Late 17th – Early 18th Century).
This highly detailed STL miniature is designed for collectors, painters, and tabletop players who want a strong historical character with premium surface detail. It works perfectly as a centerpiece model for display, a key figure in a diorama, or a commander/hero miniature for historical wargames.

Historical Background (era & context)

Ivan Mazepa (1639–1709) was one of the most influential Hetmans of the Cossack Hetmanate and a major political figure of the Ukrainian Baroque era. He ruled for over two decades, navigating complex alliances in Eastern Europe.
The model is set in the Late 17th to Early 18th century, closely tied to the Great Northern War (1700–1721). In 1708, Mazepa allied with Sweden’s King Charles XII, aiming to secure greater autonomy—and ultimately independence—for Ukrainian lands. After the coalition’s defeat at the Battle of Poltava (1709), Mazepa fled and later died in exile.
Mazepa’s image is a powerful fit for projects focused on the Cossack period, Great Northern War campaigns, Eastern European politics, or “what-if” alternate history scenarios.

Perfect For (required)

  • Wargames: hero/commander miniature for historical campaigns and narrative battles

  • Dioramas: ideal centerpiece for Cossack leadership scenes, diplomatic meetings, military camps, or parade displays

  • Painting: rich textures (cloth, metal, leather) make it excellent for display painting and advanced techniques

Scale Options (required)

  • 28mm / 32mm — tabletop scale

  • 54mm — display & competition painting

  • Bust — portrait-focused painting and showcase work

(Easily scalable in your slicer.)

Printer Support (required)

  • Resin (SLA/MSLA/DLP): best detail and crisp results

  • FDM: printable with fine settings (0.2–0.4 mm nozzle, small layer height), especially good for larger scales
